Job opportunity at Cooke Grammar School

| January 18, 2018

Cooke Grammar School, a K-8 independent school run by the Cooke School and Institute (formerly Cooke Center for Learning and Development) is currently looking to hire an assistant teacher for a position in a grade 2/3 class. The position would start immediately.  This school serves students with a wide range of mild-to-moderate cognitive or developmental disabilities and severe language-based learning disabilities.

The head teacher for the class is great, and is eager for someone who can serve as a co-teacher in the assistant teacher role. They have a strong interdisciplinary team, including great RSPs and three paraprofessionals, working with the class. So, lots of support! This might be a good stepping stone for someone who wants to keep learning before taking on the lead role in the class (and could easily lead to a head teacher position for the summer and/or fall of next year).
