| January 22, 2019

Taiwan-America Student Conference (TASC) is currently recruiting American delegates for their sixth annual summer conference.

TASC is a three-week conference held in Taiwan and conducted in English. Throughout the conference, 21 university students from Taiwan and 21 from America travel to several cities and participate in:

  • Roundtable Discussions designed to hone the delegates’ understanding of a single contemporary issue throughout the conference. The 2019 Roundtable topics are Cultural Conflict and Identity, Environmental Systems and Sustainability, Media and Communication, and Modern Issues in Education. See our Roundtable Topics here.

  • Speaker Events. We have previously hosted the current Taiwan President Tsai Ing-Wen, Dr. William Stanton (former director of the American de-facto Embassy, LGBT activists, the founder of Teach for Taiwan, and many other local movers-and-shakers.

  • Cultural Excursions that immerse delegates in Taiwan’s vibrant culture through homestays and tours of aboriginal tribes and mountain towns/villages.

Check out the review packets from 2014 and 2016 to get a taste of what it’s like to attend TASC.
