C&T 2017-2018 Supplemental Department Scholarship Application

Each year continuing, degree students MUST apply for the departmental scholarship in order to be considered for funding from the department. This is the Department of Curriculum & Teaching’s supplemental application to the Teachers College Scholarship Application. Please be advised that scholarships awarded through the Department of Curriculum & Teaching are NOT guaranteed from year to year, therefore to be considered each year for scholarship this application MUST be completed. The department awards scholarships on the basis of merit and need. 


This includes Fall 2017, Spring 2018, and Summer 2018 only.  There are NO EXCEPTIONS.

It is important to note that you must have also previously completed the Teachers College Office of Financial Aid scholarshipapplication in order to be considered for any scholarship aid.  However, students DO NOT have to complete this applicationevery year. Continuing students who have already completed this for the 2016-2017 AY Financial Aid process (and any other years previously), do NOT need to re-submit this application when applying for scholarship for 2017-2018.

Continuing students who have not submitted this college-wide application before and would like to be considered for adepartmental scholarship for 2017-2018 should obtain the application form from the Financial Aid office and complete it.  Thisapplication is not available online. [Students newly admitted to TC should have already completed this application as part of their admission]. The reason for this is, the College will not allow students to be awarded ANY TYPE of aid, if they have not filled out the College-wide Financial Aid Application. Please note:  Once you fully complete and submit your essay, you will see a confirmation of receipt at the end of thisapplication. Please print and keep this for your records. The scholarship committee, in conjunction with all departmentfaculty, will meet in March 2017 to determine the awardees.  You will be notified of the scholarship decisions by e-mail around the third or fourth week of March 2017.
