Are you interested in knowing more about Special Education? This course’s emphasis is placed on the identification of characteristics of individuals with disabilities and the impact of these characteristics on the learner, their family, and other individuals involved in the development of the learner. The course offers an educational, psychological, and legal perspective of the nature, psychosocial, educational, and behavioral needs of individuals, across the life span, with physical, mental, emotional, or sensory impairments. Particular attention is placed on the way Special Education program fits, or should fit, into ongoing work in schools.
