Job Opportunities for New Teachers Passionate About Students With Disabilities at Cooke Grammar School

| May 28, 2019
I am currently in my second year as Assistant Division Head at Cooke Grammar School, a K-8 independent school run by the Cooke School and Institute (formerly Cooke Center for Learning and Development). We are a small school that serves students with a wide range of mild-to-moderate cognitive or developmental disabilities and severe language-based learning disabilities. As an Elementary Inclusive grad now in school leadership, I am eager to hire educators with whom I share an educational background and pedagogical philosophy.

We are currently looking to hire a head teacher for a position in our grade 3-4 class. We are also hiring for maternity leave positions for two head teachers in our middle school in Humanities (ELA & Social Studies) and Math. The positions would all begin in late August/early September.

The head teacher position at our school is for someone who is eager to teach a small class of twelve students, working alongside a strong interdisciplinary team, including an assistant teacher, three paraprofessionals, and dedicated RSPs (Speech Therapy, Counseling, Occupational Therapy, and Physical Therapy). So, lots of support for someone with experience or starting off post-TC.
