Participate in Research on Teachers’ Question Asking

| March 29, 2017

We are education researchers from Carnegie Mellon University. We request your participation in a research study on teacher’s questions. We are looking into how teachers think about the questions they plan to ask their students. Your participation may help us to uncover more about the learning sciences, as well as help us create better training tools for teachers.

In this study we will request that you give us a short description of the class(es) that you teach and some idea of the class content. We will then ask you answer some prompts for questions that you would ask your students relevant to that content.

The research is completely online, and should only take 30 to 60 minutes. Your time will be compensated with a $10 gift card to Amazon. You may opt out of the research at any time. We will ask for your email address during the study in order to send you your gift card, but all submissions will be kept anonymous. We will not request your personal identity, and all of our findings will be anonymized before publishing.

If you have any questions feel free to contact us at dgerrits@cs.cmu.edu.
