Teaching in Trying Times Call for Proposals

| March 21, 2019

On Saturday, May 4, 2019, Teachers College will host its second annual Teaching in Trying Times Conference, a one-day event inviting primary, secondary, and college-level educators and policy makers from around the country to share both theoretical and practical approaches to political and civic education in these trying times.  For more information about the Call for Proposals (due Monday, April 8th) and the conference itself, please click here.

Organized by Dr. Erika Kitzmiller and Dr. Adele Bruni Ashley, the day will include a keynote speech (“Teaching Towards Love in Trying Times”) by the renowned Dr. Yolanda Sealey-Ruiz, three workshop sessions, and a concluding panel of teachers and secondary students.

We are looking for proposals from educators, families, researchers, and youth to share both theoretical and practical approaches to political and civic education.  We hope you will join us!
